ResumeStart (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on resumestart.ai and its subdomains. This policy explains what we use them for and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. We also use browser localStorage for similar purposes. Together these technologies help the site remember you between visits.
This page covers the website only. Our optional Chrome extension does not use cookies — it stores your access token in the browser's extension storage, which is described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
Required for core functionality — logging in, keeping your session secure, and remembering your place in the app. Without these the Service cannot work. No consent is required for this category.
Used to remember your preferences (e.g. selected resume template) and to track anonymous usage quotas for guest users. No personally identifiable information is shared with third parties.
We use PostHog to understand how people use the Service so we can improve it. PostHog is configured in privacy-friendly mode — data is anonymised, not sold to advertisers, and not used to track you across other websites. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it does not load until you accept. You can switch it on or off at any time using the control under “How to Control Cookies” below.
Stripe sets cookies when you interact with billing or checkout pages for fraud prevention and session management. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not control them.
We run the Meta (Facebook) Pixel so we can tell whether people who arrive from our ads go on to use the product. It records page views and your IP address and shares them with Meta.
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it does not load at all unless you accept analytics on the consent prompt, and declining leaves it switched off. Everywhere else you can switch it off by declining analytics from the same prompt, or by blocking third-party scripts in your browser.
All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies via their privacy or security settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
To remove locally stored data (including anonymous guest tokens), clear site data for resumestart.ai in your browser's developer tools under Application → Storage.
