Claude supports ResumeStart as a custom connector today.

1. Open Settings → Connectors in Claude (web or desktop).
2. Choose Add custom connector.
3. Paste the connector URL: https://resumestart.ai/api/mcp
4. Approve the connection and sign in to your ResumeStart account when prompted.

ResumeStart works in ChatGPT via connectors. If your ChatGPT plan exposes developer mode or custom connectors, add the connector URL directly:

1. Open Settings → Connectors (or Developer mode) in ChatGPT.
2. Add a connector and paste: https://resumestart.ai/api/mcp
3. Authorize and sign in to your ResumeStart account.

A one-click listing in the ChatGPT app directory is rolling out — until then, the custom connector URL above provides the same tools.

A free ResumeStart account is required so your resumes are saved and private to you. The free plan is generous — unlimited ATS score checks, plus a daily allowance of AI tailoring and cover letters. Pro removes the daily caps.

Connecting authorizes ResumeStart via OAuth with these scopes: resume:read resume:write billing:read. The connector only reads and writes resumes in your account — it never posts anywhere else or touches other users' data.

Resume content you provide is stored in your ResumeStart account so you can edit and export it on the web. You can disconnect the connector at any time from your AI client's settings, and delete your data from your account settings. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
